Hospice is a service, not a place. Hospice care comforts and supports patients and their families when an advanced illness can't be cured. Hospice can be provided anywhere a person calls home. We treat the symptoms of advanced disease in people during their last months, weeks, or days of life. The goal of Hospice is to make the most out of the time that remains. We focus on the quality of life and provide comfort and support for the patient and their family.
Hospice care is available to individuals who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and have a life expectancy of six months or less. This includes individuals with cancer, heart disease, lung disease, and other terminal illnesses.
Hospice care provides a range of services, including pain and symptom management, wound care, medication management, medical equipment and supplies, emotional and spiritual support, and bereavement support for the patient and their family.
